Willy’s Restaurant

Willy’s began as an ambitious extension of the vision behind Willy's and Margate House, transforming a once-derelict Victorian guesthouse into one of Margate’s most talked-about hospitality destinations. Working alongside interior designer Charlee Allan Quinton, the project reimagined the building as a warm, characterful coastal retreat, pairing boutique accommodation with a richly atmospheric restaurant and bar.

The restaurant itself was almost two years in the making, carefully designed in layered reds and pinks with intimate dining spaces, an open kitchen, and a lively terrace that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Every detail was considered to create a space full of personality, somewhere elegant yet playful, refined yet relaxed.

Since opening, Willy’s has quickly established itself as one of Margate’s standout dining destinations, earning praise from publications including Condé Nast Traveller and The Guardian for its atmosphere, interiors, and heartfelt hospitality. The result is a restaurant that feels deeply rooted in Margate’s creative spirit while setting a new benchmark for design-led hospitality on the Kent coast.
